In observing the dynamics of worship, creativity, and innovation in various churches, one notices that leadership plays a crucial role in shaping congregational stability and growth. The most prevalent reason for individuals becoming upset and leaving or joining a congregation is not primarily due to doctrinal differences; rather, it relates to the charisma of the leadership that attracts individuals or poses challenges. Unresolved disputes, ineffective pastoral care, and a lack of consistent oversight contribute to frustration and division within congregations. This course on Leadership and Church governance plays a crucial role in church development. It is imperative to emphasise in this course the various leadership styles, to develop a mission, vision, and strategic plan for the church. This course will describe the biblical foundation of leadership, identify the qualities of an effective Christian leader, explore servant leadership, and emphasise the importance of finishing well.
