Advanced Systematic Theology explores foundational concepts of Christian doctrine and belief, with a special focus on the doctrines of soteriology, ecclesiology, and eschatology. Building upon the foundation laid in Systematic Theology I and II, this course engages students in a comprehensive exploration of these theological themes, drawing from Scripture, tradition, reason, and the history of scholarship. Through rigorous study, critical analysis, and thoughtful reflection, students deepen their understanding of key theological doctrines and their implications for Christian faith and practice.

Practical
theology is an academic discipline that examines and reflects on religious
practices to understand the theology endorsed in those practices and to
consider how theological theory and theological practices can be more fully
aligned, changed, or improved. Practical theology has often sought to address a
perceived disconnection between dogmatic or theology as an academic discipline
on the one hand, and the life and practice of the church on the other.

In observing the dynamics of worship, creativity, and innovation in various churches, one notices that leadership plays a crucial role in shaping congregational stability and growth. The most prevalent reason for individuals becoming upset and leaving or joining a congregation is not primarily due to doctrinal differences; rather, it relates to the charisma of the leadership that attracts individuals or poses challenges. Unresolved disputes, ineffective pastoral care, and a lack of consistent oversight contribute to frustration and division within congregations. This course on Leadership and Church governance plays a crucial role in church development. It is imperative to emphasise in this course the various leadership styles, to develop a mission, vision, and strategic plan for the church. This course will describe the biblical foundation of leadership, identify the qualities of an effective Christian leader, explore servant leadership, and emphasise the importance of finishing well.
